It works in every single app/player on my GTV and of course you will need a HDMI cable or Toslink for it to work. If you decide to deactivate it, you can either set the AUDIO in the box preferences back to NEVER USE Surround or go in to PLEX app and reverse the previous enabled setting. Install and update PLEX on your box, go to settings in PLEX, find and enable AUDIO PASSTHROUGH, go back to your Homescreen on your box, and if your IP-TV provider supports it, all Dolby and DTS enabled channels and VOD, will hereafter now use the audio passthrough feature, if the receiver/soundbar or other of Your hardware supports it, of course. I have set the audio in the box preferences to manual, and then marked all audio types to ON ( blue ), and then I found this little workaround, which works 100%, for me. By chance I actually have it enabled and it works extremely well, for me, on my GTV, but I believe it would work on all the somewhat newer boxes. It seems that many, or some, have issues with finding/activating the audio passthrough feature.
